Prof. Dr. Kai Kahl has been appointed as a new member of the CHERH Executive Board. Prof. Kahl is Senior Consultant at the Clinic for Psychiatry, Social Psychiatry and Psychotherapy (MHH) and Medical Director of the Training Institute for Behavioural Therapy and Behavioural Medicine (AVVM). He is a specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy, a specialist in psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy, a supervisor, and an authorised trainer for medical psychotherapy by the Lower Saxony Medical Association. Prof. Kahl heads the Psychocardiology and Psychotherapy Working Group.
He is the author of several books and >200 scientific publications, and his work has been recognised with awards including the Prize of the German Society for Psychotraumatology (DeGPT).
