We were deeply saddened to hear that Professor Tobias Welte, MHH, a long-standing member of the CHERH Executive Board, passed away on Sunday after a short, serious illness. We are very saddened by this news.
Tobias Welte always promoted cooperation between MHH and LUH and was committed to CHERH. We are very grateful to him for this and for his immeasurable commitment to the German Center for Lung Research and Pneumology at MHH, for enriching science with his diverse research interests, and for his efforts to improve healthcare for society as a whole. We will greatly miss his enthusiasm for exchange and his openness, his energy and his warmth.
