An expert workshop was held on 30 September 2025 as part of the GARDA project. The event brought together researchers from CHERH with care and nursing experts from AOK Lower Saxony and AOK Bavaria. The group was joined by the chair of the Wir! Foundation for Caring Relatives, who contributed valuable insights from her practical experience. The project investigates the stress, burden of illness and additional financial burdens of informal carers, as well as their use of support and assistance services, and is funded by the Joint Federal Committee (funding code 01VSF22049). During the workshop, the current results were presented, jointly reflected upon and initial recommendations for action discussed.
