Under which conditions are claims data suitable for the review of guidelines in the real-world-setting?
Treatment guidelines are important due to the fact that they summarise the current status of science, provide treatment recommendations for medical doctors and identify domains requiring further research. Up to date there is little evidence about the implementation and applicability of guidelines in the real-world-setting. Therefore, this study aims to analyse under which conditions claims data are suitable for the review of treatment guidelines.
